Wipro shares surged
Till the time of writing the news, Wipro’s shares had seen the highest rise on BSC. There was an increase of about 11 percent. Shares of Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank also gained. Shares of Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance, NTPC and Asian Paints declined. In other Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei, South Korea’s Kospi and China’s Shanghai Composite were among the gainers. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng ended with modest losses. US markets closed flat on Friday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.24 percent higher at $78.48 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 340.05 crore on Friday.
