Economic relations will be affected
India has economic ties with both Iran and Israel. Israel is a strategic supplier of India, while Iran is important for connectivity to Central Asian Republics and East European countries. Chabahar port development work is strategically important for India. Iran also has involvement in this. This project may hang in the balance. Chabahar port is near the China-funded Gwadar port in Pakistan. Along with this, India may also have to buy expensive crude oil and gas. Its impact will be seen on the industries supported by it and the prices of petrol and diesel.

More than 90 lakh Indians live in the Gulf countries of the Middle East.
