According to a trilateral statement issued by China, Saudi Arabia and Iran, the three countries along with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s initiative for China’s support to develop good neighborly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran Has announced that an agreement has been reached between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which includes an agreement to resume diplomatic relations.
According to a government statement issued by Saudi Arabia, they have agreed to reopen their embassies and missions within two months and not to interfere in the internal affairs of the two countries, reaffirming the respect for the sovereignty of the two countries. . Based on the trilateral agreement, China will host the talks between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to media reports, the talks mediated by China included adherence to the principles, objectives, international conventions and norms of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OEC). According to the report, talks between the delegations of UAE and Iran were held in Beijing between March 6 and 10 under the mediation of China. Saudi Arabia’s delegation included Minister of State Dr. Musad bin Mohammad Al Aiban, Iran Cabinet Admiral Ali Shamkhani etc.
The statement issued in the media said that they also agreed that the foreign ministers of the two countries would meet to implement it and discuss resources to enhance bilateral relations along with arranging the return of their ambassadors.
