Jennifer Bansiwal left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, show makers accused of sexual harassment by Roshan Kaur Sodhi fame

Things are not looking good between the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and the cast of the show. After Shailesh Lodha, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, best known for playing Mrs Roshan Sodhi in the sitcom, quit the show.

After Shailesh Lodha filed a case against producer Asit Kumar Modi for non-payment of dues, Jennifer made some serious allegations against the producer. Bansiwal, who plays Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi in the show, has filed a complaint against producer Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj for alleged sexual harassment at workplace.

According to a report in Times of India, sources close to the show revealed that the actress had stopped shooting for the show two months back. The source further added that she had last shot for the show on March 7 and claimed that she had to leave the set after being “insulted” by Sohail and executive producer Jatin Bajaj.

The actress reacted to the news of quitting the show and told TOI, ‘Yes, I have left the show. It is true that I shot my last episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on 6th March this year. I had to leave the set as I was subjected to humiliation and humiliation at the hands of Mr. Sohil Ramani and other executive producer Jatin Bajaj.

Jennifer, who has been a part of the popular show for the past 15 years, shared the incident that led her to quit the show. She told “March 7 was my wedding anniversary and Holi when this incident happened. I was asked four times by Sohail Ramani to get off the set and the executive producer stood behind my car and tried to stop and allow me to leave. I told them that I worked in the show for 15 years and they could not forcefully stop me and Sohil threatened me when I was leaving. I filed a complaint against Asit Kumar Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj A case of sexual harassment has been registered.

Jennifer shared that after the incident, she was expecting a call from the makers, instead on March 24, Sohil sent her a legal notice mentioning how he left the shoot and was losing money. The senior actress spoke about how the makers even tried to intimidate her. Later on April 4, when Jennifer replied to him on WhatsApp, he was sexually assaulted.

Shailesh Lodha sued TMKOC makers

According to Hindustan Times report, Shailesh decided to take the legal route. In March, the actor reportedly lodged a complaint against producer Asit Kumar Modi and sued his production house.

Lodha approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and initiated corporate insolvency resolution under section 9 as Asit could not pay his debts.
