Jharkhand’s economy was Rs 1,50,918 crore in the year 2011-12, which increased to Rs 2,38,395 crore in the year 2018-19 (FY 2019-20). In the financial year 2020-21, it decreased by 11 thousand crores and the economy of the state was reduced to 2,27,082 crores.
GSDP slowest in 2013-14 at 1.6%
If we talk about Jharkhand’s economy, it has never grown uniformly year after year. The economy of the state has been growing unevenly. In the year 2013-14, the rate of growth of GDP was 1.6 percent, while in the year 2014-15 it reached the peak of 12.5 percent. After this, the economy of the state grew at the rate of 6.2 percent between the years 2016-17 and 2018-19. During this period the growth rate was more than normal and also stable.
