Jio’s 5G network download speed in cricket stadiums of the country is twice faster than rival Airtel – Dainik Savera Times

New Delhi: Good news for cricket fans, in the cricket stadiums in the country where the ICC World Cup 2023 is going to be held, the download speed of Reliance Jio is twice as fast as that of Airtel and 3.5 times faster than that of Vodafone Idea. According to the report of Open Signal, inside the Indian cricket stadiums and Jio won in download speed measured outside. The average download speed of Reliance Jio was measured at 61.7 Mbps. While Airtel was seen lagging at second place with 30.5 Mbps, Vodafone Idea was lagging behind at third place with 17.7 Mbps.
In the Open Signal report, Reliance Jio also stood first in terms of 5G download speed. Jio’s 5G download speed was 25.5 percent more than Airtel. Jio’s average 5G download speed was recorded at 344.5 Mbps, while Airtel came second with 274.5 Mbps. It is noteworthy that Vodafone Idea does not have 5G service yet. ICC World Cup 2023 matches will be held in 10 stadiums in the country. These include new stadiums like Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to historical stadiums like Eden Garden in Kolkata.
Apart from this, matches will also be held in cricket stadiums of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow and Dharamshala. There was a close contest in terms of overall upload speed in cricket stadiums. Airtel’s average upload speed was measured at 6.6 Mbps while Jio’s was measured at 6.3 Mbps. Vodafone Idea came in third with 5.8 Mbps. Airtel topped in terms of average 5G upload, Airtel’s speed was 26.3 Mbps while Reliance Jio was 21.6 Mbps.
Open Signal also examined the availability of 5G connectivity inside and outside the ICC World Cup stadiums. Network availability is measured by the time customers spend on the 5G network. According to the report, Jio remained on top in terms of 5G availability in World Cup stadiums. Jio customers remained connected to 5G network more than 53 percent of the time. Whereas Airtel customers could connect to 5G network only 20.7 percent of the time. According to this, the availability of Jio’s 5G network was recorded to be 2.6 times more than that of Airtel.
