New Delhi. JSW Energy has bagged a 700 MW solar project from public sector SJVN Ltd. The project was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding invited by its subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Ltd (JSW Neo) for setting up 1,500 MW (interstate transmission system) ISTS-linked solar power projects, JSW said in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday. has been achieved. JSW Energy said it has a total generation capacity of 11.0 GW, which includes 7.2 GW in operation, 2.6 GW under construction in wind, thermal and hydro and LOAs for 1.2 GW capacity from SECI (tranche – 16) and SJVN. Additionally, the company has an energy storage capacity of 3.4 GW through battery energy storage system and hydro-pumped storage project. The company expects to have 9.8 GW of operational generation capacity by the end of 2024. The company’s current operating capacity is 7.2 GW.
