The bank’s wholesale banking head Paritosh Kashyap told PTI, “The growth of our large corporate segment is lower than that of SMEs (companies with less than Rs 500 crore revenue). This is also one of the reasons behind this change. In fact, there is a huge opportunity in the market of mid-sized companies. Presently the middle-market segment is part of the large corporate team which includes companies in the range of Rs 500 crore to Rs 6,000 crore. A new section will be ready for them from April 1. While the large corporate team will provide services to companies ranging in size from Rs 1,500 to Rs 6,000 crore.
