It is written that the welfare measures for LEI agents and employees have been approved by the Ministry. More than one lakh regular employees and more than 13 lakh agents of the company are going to benefit from this.

Let us tell you that the government has increased the gratuity limit of LIC agents from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, approval has been given to make the LIC agents who come back after re-appointment eligible for renewal commission, which will provide them increased financial stability. The government has also announced to increase the term insurance cover for LIC agents. Under this, its range has been increased from Rs 3000-10,000 to Rs 25,000-1,50,000, which will provide financial security to the agent’s family. The government will provide family pension benefit to LIC employees at a uniform rate of 30 percent.
