Bharat Newalkar, CGM, Corporate Research & Development Centre, Greater Noida, points out that Bharat Hi-Star stoves will save at least one cylinder per household per year. This calculation has been done keeping in mind such families, who use one gas cylinder every month, which means 12 gas cylinders in a year.
The older the stove, the more savings
Bharat Newalkar says that the older your chulha is, the more you will save gas. Suppose that your stove is 2 years to 5 years old and if you remove it and install a Bharat gas stove, you will save about two and a half gas cylinders in 1 year. If your stove is five to 10 years old, then you will save four gas cylinders in a year. If your stove is more than 10 years old then you will save 5.3 cylinders in a year.

Bharat Petroleum’s scientists have currently made it run on LPG. Gas stoves of advanced technology have also been developed for those who have piped natural gas or PNG connection at home. It is said that it is ready to be launched in the market next month itself.
