Major changes coming from PM’s foreign visits, opposition scared of Modi’s 25 years development roadmap

Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a successful visit to France and United Arab Emirates. For some time, a change is being seen from the foreign visits of the Prime Minister, now his foreign visits are getting shorter in terms of time, but now he is visiting many countries at once. For example, the Prime Minister accompanied his trip to the US to Egypt and to the United Arab Emirates to France.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome in the French capital Paris and was also honored with France’s highest civilian honor “The Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour”, while in the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Modi was felicitated by the President of the United Arab Emirates by tying a friendship band in his hand, indicating the deepening of relations between India and the UAE.

PM’s visit to France

This was Narendra Modi’s fifth visit to France as Prime Minister. This time the Prime Minister was also the chief guest of the National Parade of France. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Indian community in France, said many important things whose impact is going far and wide. In his speech, the Prime Minister mentioned the chairmanship of G-20 and the meetings being held in India and also discussed Chandrayaan-3. Referring to a report, he said that India has brought out about 42 crore countrymen from the poverty line. He said that India is working on the target of being a developed country in the next 25 years. Today every international agency is saying that India is moving forward. Now is the time to invest in India. Addressing the Indian community, he said that now a statue of Tamil poet and saint Thiruvalluvar will be installed in France. His book Thirukkural is popular all over the world and has been translated into many languages. Through this he has also given a message to the people of Tamil Nadu. Prior to this, the Prime Minister has tried to win the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu by showing the popularity and specialty of Tamil literature and language in America as well.

The Government of India has decided to open a new Consulate in Marseille with the assistance of the Government of France. It has also been announced that students studying there will now be given a five-year study visa. Now the system of digital payment through UPI is also being started between India and France. The bilateral relations between India and France have been going on continuously for 300 years and are getting stronger with time. When India conducted nuclear tests during Atalji’s government, France was the only country that did not impose any sanctions on India and stood like a rock with India. France is always seen standing with India at all international forums including the United Nations General Assembly.

In the present times, the defense relations between India and France are also getting stronger. France is becoming an important partner in Make in India and self-reliant India. India and France are playing an important role in areas such as solar energy and green hydrogen. France stands openly with India even in the fight against terrorism. There has been a historic agreement between India and France to purchase 3 Scorpene class submarines for the Navy, including the purchase of 26 fighter Rafale-M fighter aircraft, which will increase the strength of the Indian Army. The defense agreements that are being signed between India and France today, have created uneasiness among the enemy nations of India.

Travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates. This short trip had huge political implications. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also given a grand welcome in UAE. According to a joint statement issued after talks between Prime Minister Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Nahyan during the visit, the two countries have agreed to further deepen their bilateral cooperation in the fight against extremism and terrorism, including cross-border terrorism in all its forms, at the regional and international levels. It has also been agreed to increase defense exchanges, sharing of experiences, training and capacity building of both the countries. The need to shun all forms of extremism, hate speech and discrimination was stressed.

India and UAE also have several agreements in which both the countries will trade in Indian and UAE currencies in rupee and dirham respectively. This will reduce the time for payment and also open the option of investing in rupee-dirham in the money market. Tourism will also be convenient. Digital payment messaging system i.e. UPI of India and payment platform IPP of UAE will be linked between the two countries. Due to this, the people of both the countries will not have to pay any extra charge for card transactions in each other’s country. IIT Delhi will open its first campus in Abu Dhabi (UAE). This will be India’s first campus in the Mina region, ie the central UAE.

COP-28 conference on climate change is going to be organized in UAE this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised full cooperation for its success. UAE is a very important friendly country for India as it is India’s second largest trading partner. Bilateral trade between India and UAE is over $84 billion. The Indian diaspora is the largest ethnic community here and accounts for about 30 per cent of the total population. In 2021, the number of overseas Indians here was about 30 lakhs.

Political analysts are predicting that Modi’s visits to countries like Egypt and UAE for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the upcoming assembly elections will send a good message among the liberal and beneficiary Muslims and it will be easier to deal with the opposition which is trying to attack the image of BJP and Modi. It is also important that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not address keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, rather he tells the roadmap for the country’s development and relations with the countries of the world for the next 25 years, due to which the general public naturally accepts his leadership and family-based corrupt parties see a threat to their existence.
