In the automobile sector, big companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors are preparing to launch new electric models to meet the demand of various segments.
Mahindra & Mahindra Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Automobile Sector Nalinikant Golagunta said that the company will introduce five new battery electric vehicles in the coming years. It will start from January 2025. He said, these electric sports utility vehicles (SUVs) will be built on Mahindra’s innovative INGLO platform. Our aim is to cater to the needs of different segments of consumers through a diverse range. The purpose of launching these SUVs is to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment. By 2027, 20 to 30 percent of our portfolio will be electric vehicles.
