Market cap crosses Rs 400 lakh crore

BSE MCap: The Indian stock market has created a new record on the first trading day of the week. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSEMarket capitalization of companies of (BSE M-Cap) has crossed Rs 400 lakh crore. The exchange has achieved an all-time high in the new financial year. Along with this, today Sensex and Nifty have also made a new record. For the first time, Sensex has crossed the record level of 74,673.84 points and Nifty has crossed the record level of 22,630.90 points. In the last one year, the domestic market has seen a growth of about 25 percent. Let us tell you that earlier, the market capitalization of BSE-listed companies had reached the figure of Rs 300 lakh crore in July last year.
How is the condition of Sensex?
Strong growth is being seen in the companies listed on Sensex today. 3289 companies traded in morning trading. In this, stocks of 1936 companies were in profit. Whereas, stocks of 1205 companies remained in loss. No change was seen in the stocks of 148 companies. 198 shares appear to have hit the upper circuit. Among the Sensex listed companies, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Power Grid, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank and JSW Steel were the biggest gainers. Shares of Wipro, Nestle, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finance suffered losses.

What is the situation in other markets?
In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei 225 were in profit, while China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in loss. American markets closed with a mainly positive trend on Friday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 1.36 percent lower at US $ 89.93 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) had bought shares worth a net Rs 1,659.27 crore on Friday.
