Market valuation record of companies listed on BSE is Rs 292.78 lakh crore, know details

The continuing boom in BSE took the total market capitalization of the companies listed in it to a record Rs 2,92,78,245.41 crore. The previous high of market valuation was Rs 2,91,25,007.45 crore on December 14, 2022. On a weekly basis, the Sensex registered an increase of 758.95 points i.e. 1.21 percent. According to the data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,085.51 crore on Thursday.
Meanwhile, amid positive global trends, the major stock indices Sensex and Nifty closed at an all-time high on Friday. During this period, banking, financial and capital goods stocks have been especially strong. Traders said strengthening of the rupee against the US dollar and sustained buying by foreign investors also boosted market sentiment.
During this period, the 30-share index of BSE climbed 466.95 points, or 0.74 percent, to close at a record high of 63,384.58 points. At one point in the day’s trade, it had also increased by 602.73 points, or 0.95 percent, to reach 63,520.36. The Sensex’s previous high was on December 1 last year when the index closed at 63,284.19 points.
On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty also climbed 137.90 points, or 0.74 percent, to close at its highest level of 18,826. The previous record high level of Nifty was 18,812.50 points. On a weekly basis, the Sensex registered a gain of 758.95 points i.e. 1.21 percent. During this period the Nifty has gained 262.6 points i.e. 1.41 percent.
