Maruti’s Q3 profit more than doubles to Rs 2,351 crore

New Delhi. Country’s leading automobile company Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has more than doubled its net profit to Rs 2,351.3 crore for the third quarter ended December of the current financial year. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 1,011.3 crore. In a communication sent to the stock exchanges, the company said that its net sales increased to Rs 27,849.2 crore during the quarter, as against Rs 22,187.6 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
The country’s largest carmaker sold 4,65,911 vehicles during the quarter. The company’s stock was trading at Rs 8,625 on the BSE, up 2.4 per cent.
