Mayawati’s ‘anti-tilak-scales-and-sword’ face revealed again

The flavor of religion is nothing new in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. In the name of religion, parties like Congress, SP, BSP do the politics of Muslim appeasement, while Bharatiya Janata Party keeps trying to unite Hindu voters in the name of religion. It would not be an exaggeration to say that in the present times, all the political parties and their leaders in Uttar Pradesh, in order to shine their politics, are doing the work of creating a rift among the society by spreading religious hatred, just like BJP once did. ‘Ram Lalla we will come, we will build the temple there’ and BSP had given the slogan ‘Tilak-scales and sword, hit them with shoes four’ and Samajwadi Party had given the slogan ‘Defeat 80, remove BJP’. It seems as if BSP founder Kanshi Ram was an expert in coining election slogans. He had given the slogan ‘Thakur Baman Baniya Chhod, rest all are DS-4’ to bring backward people and Dalits with BSP. On one hand, voters are attracted towards themselves with slogans.

Our leaders do not shy away from using controversial language to woo voters. Everyone has heard the outspokenness of DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, minister in the Tamil Nadu government, Priyank Kharge, minister in the Congress government of Karnataka, Chandrashekhar in the Bihar government and Swami Prasad Maurya, general secretary of the Samajwadi Party of Uttar Pradesh, against Sanatan Dharma. Similarly, BSP’s silent mission is also going on continuously against Sanatan Dharma. A book named ‘Sachchi Ramayana Ki Chabhi’ has been uploaded on the official website of the party, in which very objectionable comments have been made on Lord Vishnu, Shri Ram, Mata Sita etc.

Well, it is not hidden from anyone that BSP supremo Mayawati always openly does casteist politics in favor of Dalits in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttarakhand etc. Of course, his strength is this vote bank, but till now he has got power in UP only when the upper castes supported him. Mayawati knows this, that is why on one hand her party stands behind controversial slogans like ‘Tilak, Taraju and Talwar Inko Maro Shoe’ and on the other hand it also talks about ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay’. She also makes social engineering her election weapon. Apart from this, BSP’s official website ‘BSPIndia.in’ shows an anti-Sanatan picture of the party. This website contains information about the party’s movements, achievements, organizational structure etc. along with a column named Our Ideals. In this, the name and biography of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and BSP founder Kanshi Ram as well as Periyar Lalai Singh Yadav is written. Here it has been written as the achievements of Lalai Singh that this is the true Ramayana and how he won the legal battle. It is written in it that the credit for bringing the book Sachchi Ramayana by Periyar EV Ramasamy Naykar, the leading social revolutionary of the Dravidian movement, in Hindi for the first time goes to Lalai Singh Yadav. As soon as this link is opened, it becomes clear how poison is being spread against Sanatan Dharma through the BSP website. In this, on one hand, Ramayana has been described as a fantasy and on the other hand, while explaining Ramayana, very hateful words have been used for many characters including Lord Vishnu, Shri Ram, Mother Sita, King Dashrath, King Janak. Well, the truth is also that BSP has been marginalized by the voters because of its casteist politics. Similarly, among the Dalits, apart from the Jatavs, other sections have turned their backs on the BSP. The result of this is that a large number of Dalit leaders are among the MPs and MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party. If BSP does not give up its petty politics, then the condition of BSP may become weak in the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year.
