Mercedes-Benz has introduced the facelifted version of its SUV GLC in India.

New Delhi: Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday launched a new version of its premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) GLC. Its showroom price is Rs 73.5 lakh. The second generation GLC is priced at Rs 73.5 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 74.5 lakh for the diesel variant, the company said in a statement. As per the statement, 1,500 bookings have been received for this model so far.
Lance Bennett, vice-president (sales and marketing), Mercedes-Benz India, told PTI that the company is targeting double-digit sales growth in the current year. GLC is expected to account for 15 per cent of the company’s total sales this year. There has been a very good demand for it in the first two weeks of opening of bookings, he said. GLC is very important product for us.
Bennett said that Mercedes-Benz had sold at least 13,000 units of the previous generation GLC in India and the company expects huge demand for the new GLC as well. Locally built at the manufacturing plant in Pune’s Chakan, the GLC is the company’s best-selling SUV in India. This model is also very important for the company globally.
