A critic from Dubai gave the film 4.25 stars and said that by the interval the audience will realize what is happening in the film. Atif Siddiqui tweeted, “#VijaySethupathi and #KatrinaKaif starrer is a smart, entertaining and brilliant film, definitely go to the theaters for this.” Merry Christmas also stars Ashwini Kalsekar in lead roles.
