San Francisco (Uttam Hindu News): Microsoft has said it is testing a change in Windows 11 that will allow its AI-powered Copilot feature to automatically open when Windows starts on widescreen devices. The company is testing the update as part of its most recent Dave Channel preview of Windows 11, so testers can provide feedback before the full release.
“With some Windows Insiders in the Dave Channel, we’re working on an effort to automatically open CoPilot when Windows starts up on widescreen devices,” Microsoft said in a blogpost.
Microsoft doesn’t specify what it considers a “widescreen” device, but its Windows 11 settings mention that it will launch CoPilot “when you’re using a wide screen,” which could refer to ultrawide displays. Is.
“We are piloting this experience on devices with a minimum diagonal screen size of 27-inches and a pixel width of 1920 pixels and are limited to the primary display screen in multi-monitor scenarios,” Microsoft said. Meanwhile, Microsoft has introduced a new Copilot key to Windows PC keyboards that, when hit, will launch Copilot into the Windows experience, making it easier to use Copilot in your daily life.
“The CoPilot key joins the Windows key as a core part of the PC keyboard and when pressed, the new key will activate CoPilot in the Windows experience,” Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer Youssef Mehdi said in a blogpost. It will become easier to incorporate it into your day-to-day activities.”
