Mini version of Vande Bharat Express will be seen soon, train will run on these routes

Indian Railways is likely to launch a smaller version of its popular Vande Bharat Express train with 8 coaches. The mini Vande Bharat train is expected to be launched by March or April 2023 on a pilot basis. The design of the train is in its final stages, although there is no official announcement from the Railways yet.
Mini Vande Bharat will run on short routes
As per media reports, Mini Vande Bharat Express will cover shorter distances in tier 2 cities like Amritsar-Jammu, Kanpur-Jhansi, Jalandhar-Ludhiana, Coimbatore-Madurai and Nagpur-Pune with a route duration of 4-5 hours. Talking about the present time, there are eight Vande Bharat trains running on different routes in the country, which include Nagpur-Bilaspur, Delhi-Varanasi, Gandhinagar-Mumbai and Chennai-Mysore.
Sleeper Vande Bharat Express
Indian Railways is also planning to introduce sleeper version of Vande Bharat train. This version will be designed to travel at a speed of 220 kmph. However, these trains of aluminum made sleeper version will run at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour on the tracks.
According to the information coming in this regard, the chair car Vande Bharat Express trains will be replaced by Shatabdi Express in a phased manner, while the sleeper version will be an alternative to Rajdhani Express trains. Indian Railways plans to run 75 Vande Bharat trains by the end of this year and 400 trains in the next three years. The Vande Bharat Express is designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai, under a major Make-in-India initiative.
