More than 7 out of 10 Indians consider chips important in shaping smart device experience

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): More than seven in 10 (77 percent) smart device users in the country consider chipset capabilities to be highly important in influencing their device experience. This was said in a report on Wednesday. According to a Counterpoint Research report, smart device users rate performance (76 percent), graphics and gaming capabilities (66 percent) and 5G connectivity (62 percent) as the top three features dependent on chipset capabilities.
Research Director Tarun Pathak said, “For any electronics device, we believe personalized experiences will be the real differentiator for consumers going forward. “This means a deeper integration of advanced technologies leveraging artificial intelligence for a seamless, reliable and personalized experience with a continued focus on ultra-fast connectivity.”
These chipsets shape consumer experiences and help OEMs differentiate their offerings at a time when we are transitioning to the next generation of 5G networks. In terms of brands, the report revealed that 61 percent of respondents were aware of MediaTek’s chipsets in smart devices in the country.
MediaTek was the world’s top smartphone chipset brand with 31 percent market share in Q3 2023. The Taiwan-based company develops system-on-chips for mobile, home entertainment, connectivity and IoT devices and is also involved in other key technology sectors.
