In the country’s oil-oilseeds markets, on Thursday, the prices of soybean oil-oilseeds, crude palm oil (CPO) and palmolein oil closed showing improvement, while the prices of mustard, groundnut oil-oilseeds and cottonseed oil closed at the previous level. According to market sources, there was a strong trend in Chicago Exchange and Malaysia Exchange. He said that the price of CPO in dollar terms has strengthened in foreign markets. Due to disruption in edible oil transportation due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia, the price of soybean degum oil in the country which was earlier at $940-942 per ton, has now increased to $950-952 per ton. Similarly, due to travel disruption, the price of sunflower oil is also becoming expensive to import.
Due to low supply of edible oils (soybean, sunflower oil) and local demand, the edible oil which was earlier being sold at a loss of Rs 4-5 per kg, is now being sold at a profit of Rs 2-2.5 per kg. He said that on the other hand, palmolein is being sold at Rs 2-2.5 per kg at the ports in the country and its supply is also being done in 10-15 days. The prices of oil and oilseeds on Wednesday were as follows: Mustard oilseeds – Rs 5,400-5,450 (42 percent condition price) per quintal. Groundnut – Rs 6,665-6,740 per quintal. Groundnut Oil Mill Delivery (Gujarat) – Rs 15,750 per quintal. Groundnut refined oil Rs 2,350-2,625 per tin. Mustard oil Dadri- Rs 10,000 per quintal. Mustard Pakki Ghani – Rs 1,705 -1,800 per tin. Mustard Kachchi Ghani – Rs 1,705 -1,805 per tin.
Sesame Oil Mill Delivery – Rs 18,900-21,000 per quintal. Soybean Oil Mill Delivery Delhi – Rs 10,000 per quintal. Soybean Mill Delivery Indore – Rs 9,750 per quintal. Soybean oil Degum, Kandla – Rs 8,250 per quintal. CPO ex-Kandla – Rs 7,850 per quintal. Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) – Rs 8,450 per quintal. Palmolein RBD, Delhi – Rs 9,050 per quintal. Palmolein ex- Kandla – Rs 8,300 (without GST) per quintal. Soybean grain – Rs 5,000-5,030 per quintal. Soybean loose – Rs 4,810-4,850 per quintal. Maize cake (Sariska) – Rs 4,050 per quintal.
