NCCF and Agribid organized a camp for training and registration of Primary Agricultural Credit Society in different districts of Rajasthan, this camp received 500+ PACS registration from all the areas of Rajasthan.
Ashutosh Mishra (Co-founder and CEO of Agribid) was present at the camp and explained the benefits of PACS. NCCF officials were present at the location to better explain the benefits of the PACS program and also facilitate registration. Also went door to door in the area of Rajasthan and informed every person about it.
With an aim to strengthen the cooperative sector in India and empower the farmers of India, the Central Government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is looking to take steps to increase the reach of Primary Agricultural Credit Committee (PACS) in the country. To address the shortage of food grain storage capacity, the Government has approved “The World’s Largest Food Grain Storage Scheme in the Cooperative Sector”, which is being rolled out as a pilot project in various States/Union Territories of the country. .
The scheme involves the creation of various agricultural infrastructure at the PACS level, covering a number of Government schemes (including those listed in the Government of India, such as the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMI), Agricultural Engineering Submission (SMAM) is to be present through convergence of Prime Minister Listed Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) etc. Under these schemes, PACS can avail subsidy and interest subvention for construction of warehouse/collection facilities and for setting up other agricultural infrastructure establishments. Apart from this, NABARD is also providing financial support to PACS by refinancing it at highly subsidized rates.
