A draft policy has been brought to regularize them. The draft policy aims at revising the norms for setting up of rooftop and ground-mounted telecom towers by mobile and telephone service operators.

The four main aspects of the policy are regularization of unauthorized towers, increase in single tower installation fee, rent on towers installed in NDMC buildings (free of cost) and process for installation of new towers. Along with releasing the draft policy on Friday, NDMC has sought suggestions from the public on it.
