New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a press conference on Saturday to answer the questions arising after the budget. In this conference, the Finance Minister has responded to the questions related to the FPO of Adani Enterprises along with answering the post-budget doubts and questions.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said the withdrawal of Adani Group’s Rs 20,000 crore FPO has not affected the country’s macroeconomic fundamentals and the image of the economy. Addressing a post-budget press conference here, the Finance Minister said foreign exchange worth US $8 billion has arrived in the last two days alone.
Sitharaman told reporters, “…our macroeconomic fundamentals or the image of our economy, none of these have been affected.” Yes, FPOs (follow-on public offers) keep coming in and FIIs keep exiting.” He said the regulators will do their job in the Adani case. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has the means to ensure the stability of the markets.
Explain that due to the report of Hindenburg Research regarding Adani Group, the company is suffering huge losses. Due to this report, Adani group companies have suffered a loss of more than 46 per cent. Investors are also worried. There was a lot of uproar in the Parliament regarding this issue.
