New Delhi, March 21 (HS). Car manufacturer Nissan Motor India has appointed Saurabh Vats as the Managing Director (MD) of the company. Vats was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of the company on January 15, 2024. His tenure will be effective from April 1, 2024.
The company said in a statement issued on ‘X’ post on Thursday that Saurabh Vats has been appointed as the Managing Director of the company. He succeeds Rakesh Srivastava, who retires on March 31, 2024. Earlier, Vats was appointed Deputy Managing Director of the company on January 15. His tenure will be effective from April 1, 2024. The company said Watts will report to Frank Torres, president of Nissan India operations and vice president of the regional division of ‘Business Transformation’.
It is noteworthy that Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Company Limited, Japan. It was founded in 2005, offering hatchback, MUV, SUV and sedan models in India. Nissan India has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun, in the Indian market.
