The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand told me that the number of tourists visiting these places has doubled. Earlier travel to these places used to last only for six months, but now the roads are accessible throughout the year.
Automobile industry will double in five years
He said tourism, restaurants, hotels, buses, railways and airlines all got business as the number of customers increased at these places. Gadkari said that the automobile industry in the country is worth Rs 7.50 lakh crore, providing employment to 4.5 crore people. This industry pays maximum GST to the Central and State Governments. I will double the size of the industry to Rs 15 lakh crore in the next five years. All the automobile brands of the world are coming here.
