Nitish Kumar himself could not show courage to contest any election since 2004 but is showing dreams of 2024 to Rahul Gandhi

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is working hard to form an anti-Modi grand alliance. When Nitish Kumar came to Delhi, he met Lalu Yadav, met Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge and after these meetings expressed full confidence that this caravan of the opposition will continue to grow stronger and all will fight the elections together. Nitish Kumar has not dared to contest any election since the 2004 Lok Sabha elections and has been a member of the Legislative Council since then.

In 2004, Nitish Kumar contested from two parliamentary seats, out of which he lost. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar won his last assembly election in 1985. Also, it was the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s word that Nitish Kumar was able to become the Chief Minister in the year 2020, while the seats of his party JDU were very less compared to the then ally BJP. The record of change of party politics may be in the name of other leaders but the record of change of alliance is in the name of Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar may have the record of taking oath as Chief Minister for the maximum number of times in Bihar, but he could never achieve this post on his own.

It is also interesting to know about Nitish Kumar, who is eager to change the power at the center, that he is the only Chief Minister in the country, whose state remains the most backward state in the country despite almost one and a half decades of rule. Instead of taking his state forward, Nitish Kumar always keeps pleading with the Center to give special status to his state. In today’s era, where states are trying to outdo each other, Nitish wants Bihar to run only on the mercy of the Centre. The Chief Minister who could not rid his state of backwardness despite long rule and keeps the public busy only in issues like caste census, just think if he comes to power at the center or becomes a partner in the power of the center then what will happen to the country. Would today’s India like to go back to the era of coalition politics where the Prime Minister spent most of his time persuading coalition partners or turning a blind eye to their unethical practices. Nitish Kumar should also note that similar eagerness was shown by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2019, Chandrababu Naidu united Akash Patal to bring all opposition leaders on stage in an attempt to oust Modi, but during this time the political ground in Andhra Pradesh was completely slipped from under his own feet.
