Nitish Kumar has set a new record by taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 9th time. Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister on August 9, 2022, leaving the BJP and taking Lalu Yadav with him. Tejashwi was made the Deputy Chief Minister. There was also discussion that Nitish Kumar would go into central politics and Tejashwi would be made the Chief Minister of Bihar. With time, differences between Nitish Kumar, Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi increased. Numerically weak Nitish Kumar was finding himself under pressure and bondage. To get out of this situation, Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a long time at the G-20 dinner. From here once again the path of communication and contact opened. When the Government of India announced the award of Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur, Nitish Kumar felt that it was the right time to do a reversal and free himself from the Yadav father-son dynasty. On the 100th birthday of Karpoori Thakur, while Nitish Kumar praised and thanked the Government of India and especially the Prime Minister, he targeted familyism on the basis of Karpoori Thakur’s ideology. Condemnation of dynasticism was a clear message for both Yadav and Gandhi that Nitish can change his path at any time.

Resigning as Chief Minister and taking oath again a few hours later shows how Nitish Kumar remains the focal point in Bihar politics even after so many years. Experts of Bihar politics believe that one should learn to rule and run the state from Nitish Kumar.

Whatever he thinks, he does it. No one knows when and what he is going to do. Although he has made several reversals in his political career, people can guess from his body language.
