What did Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman say?

Let us tell you that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that India has the second largest Muslim population in the world and people who blame the country for the issues of minorities have no idea about the ground reality. During an informal interaction at the ‘Peterson Institute for International Economics’, Sitharaman said that there has been an increase in the Muslim population in India. He said that as claimed in most of the articles that life of Muslims has been made difficult, if this was true, would the Muslim population have increased since 1947… But the situation in Pakistan, which came into existence at the same time, is opposite, he said. Sitharaman said that in Pakistan there has been violence against Muhajirs (refugees), Shias and other minorities while in India every section of the Muslim community is doing its bit.

He said, “India was divided into two parts. Pakistan declared itself an Islamic country, but said minorities would be protected. But the number of each minority group in Pakistan has been decreasing. The number of people from some Muslim communities has also decreased. The Union Finance Minister said that the perception that violence against Muslims is happening all over India is just an illusion. The Finance Minister said, “This cannot happen. Every province and its police is different. They are administered by the elected governments of those provinces. So this itself explains how the people writing these news have no idea about the law and order system in India. She said, “If we hold the Government of India responsible for this, then I would like to say that between 2014 and today, has the population decreased, is there a lot of debt on any particular community.” Sitharaman said, “Those who write such news, I invite them to come to India. I will host them. They should come to India and prove their point.

RSS is also being targeted

It is not that only BJP is called anti-Muslim. RSS is also continuously attacked with the help of false allegations. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat started frequent meetings with Muslim intellectuals, the opponents of the Sangh stood up. The opponents of the Sangh have created such a network which first spreads some false news, then the members of that network create discussions on the social media on the basis of that false news and on the basis of that the talks against the Sangh are conveyed to the general public. One such incident came to light recently when a letter went viral on social media. The letter was allegedly written on the letter head of the RSS, calling upon Hindu boys to convert Muslim girls and virtually ruin their lives. As soon as this letter surfaced, the anti-RSS network became active and started spreading confusion through social media posts but the Sangh immediately rejected this letter. By the way, this was not the first conspiracy against the RSS. From time to time, such propaganda is spread and often things said in Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s addresses are distorted and presented. But the Muslim community is also aware of the conspiracies of such propaganda and knows that the Sangh has provided all possible help whenever the need arose.

Muslim’s mind is changing

If seen, a big change is now visible in the perception of Muslim society towards Sangh and BJP across the country. Recently, AP Abdullakutty, President of the National Haj Committee, had alleged that propaganda is being done all over the country that the BJP is against Muslims, which is absolutely wrong. Abdullakutty described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’ as a step to win the trust of the minority community.

Surely this is a big blow to those parties who have been doing the politics of Muslim votes.

Apart from this, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, which is making wide inroads among the Muslims, has now given the compilation of the addresses given in the radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, giving it the shape of an Urdu book and distributing it in Madrasas, Uttar Pradesh. It is being distributed as a gift among the ulama and other Islamic scholars. Twelve episodes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program have been translated into Urdu and published as a book. Episodes from January 2022 to December 2022 have been included in this. Apart from this, the BJP is also holding ‘Sneh Milan – Ek Desh, Ek DNA’ conferences in the Muslim-majority Lok Sabha constituencies of western Uttar Pradesh from this month.
