Over 300 intercity, express trains to be affected due to G20 summit

New Delhi: Northern Railway has released a list of over 300 intercity and express trains whose operations will be affected due to the G20 summit scheduled to be held in Delhi on September 9-10. An official statement said that in view of the ongoing advisory for security arrangements, these trains have either been canceled or changed in their route or destination between September 8 and 11.
According to the statement, additional stoppages of 70 trains including Jammu Tawi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Tejas Rajdhani Hazrat Nizamuddin Express, Varanasi-New Delhi Express have been earmarked to reduce inconvenience to passengers. According to the statement, the departure and destination stations of 36 trains have been changed.
It has been told that three trains will not stop at Delhi’s Kishanganj railway station during the G20 summit. People who have planned to travel during the said period are advised to check train timings and routes well in advance to avoid any inconvenience,” said a railway official.
