New Delhi: Hospitality technology platform OYO on Friday said it plans to add around 500 new hotels over the next three months in cities hosting matches of the upcoming ODI Cricket World Cup in India. OYO said in a statement that Hotels around the venues of matches of the World Cup tournaments will be linked together. Keeping in mind the cricket lovers coming from all over the world, preparations have been made to connect the new hotel with the stage. Cricket World Cup is going to be played in India in October-November this year.
Matches will be played in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Delhi, Dharamshala, Chennai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune. Oyo will add 500 hotels in the cities hosting World Cup matches over the next three months, said a company spokesperson. We aim to ensure that visitors who come to watch their favorite team play are provided with comfortable and affordable accommodation. MakeMyTrip has launched this facility keeping in view the growing trend of homestays instead of hotels. Meanwhile, online travel services company MakeMyTrip has asked residents of host cities for World Cup matches to list their homes.
