Patanjali Group has set a target of increasing its business to Rs 1 lakh crore in the next five years, while expressing its intention to launch products for all types of consumers.

New Delhi. Patanjali Group has set a target of increasing its business to Rs 1 lakh crore in the next five years, while expressing its intention to launch products for all types of consumers. Group chief Baba Ramdev told a press conference on Friday that plans are underway to reach out to every consumer group to achieve this goal. He said that group company Patanjali Foods (formerly Ruchi Soya) would play a key role in achieving this goal.

Its turnover has been targeted to be Rs 45,000-50,000 crore in the next five years. Ramdev said, “Our target is to take the business of Patanjali group to Rs 1 lakh crore in the next five years. It also intends to take the business of its listed company Patanjali Foods to Rs 50,000 crore. He said that the turnover of Patanjali group has reached around Rs 45,000 crore and it has now left many multinational companies behind.

He said that the group has been offering affordable products through Patanjali Ayurveda and now through Patanjali Foods, it will also introduce products aimed at the emerging upper-middle class. He said that the group has reached about two billion people in about 200 countries of the world.
