Paytm UPI Lite crosses 2 million users with over 5 lakh daily transactions

New Delhi: Paytm Payments Bank on Wednesday announced that it now has over 2 million users on Paytm UPI Lite. The bank recorded over half a million daily transactions for Paytm UPI Lite through the Paytm app, the bank said in a statement.
In a statement, a Paytm Payments Bank spokesperson said, “We have seen rapid adoption of Paytm UPI Lite, which has crossed the 2 million-plus user mark in a short span of time.”
“With Paytm UPI, we enable lightning-fast payments powered by the latest UPI Lite technology and the security of Paytm Payments Bank that never fails,” said the spokesperson. Paytm UPI Lite brings single-click payments that never fail. Doesn’t fail even though banks have success rate issues during peak transaction hours.
Once loaded, UPI Lite allows the user to make instant payments of up to Rs 200, making the entire experience seamless. A maximum of Rs 2,000 can be added to UPI Lite twice a day, taking the cumulative daily usage up to Rs 4,000. Paytm UPI is powered by the latest UPI Lite technology for successful payments and offers three-layered bank-grade security .
Additionally, payments made using UPI Lite will not be reflected in the passbook, providing a streamlined bank statement for the user. It makes only one entry while adding money to the UPI Lite balance.
