New Delhi: Indian domestic indices ended flat in early trade today following mixed sentiments among investors in key Asian markets. Strong gains in capital goods and power sectors moved Sensex higher, while consumer durables and real estate were market gainers today. While the consumer and real estate stock markets have been dragsters. At 10:40 am, the BSE Sensex has gained 0.38% to reach the level of 60,923. At the same time, the Nifty 50 index rose by 0.33% to reach the level of 17,903. On Sensex on Tuesday, NTPC Ltd, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Steel were the top gainers. Whereas Asian Paints, Wipro and Infosys have been market gainers.
There has been a rise in 1,682 shares on the BSE, while there has been a decline in 1,362 shares. The advance-decline ratio remained in favor of advances. The BSE Midcap index moved in tandem with the major indices, while the BSE Smallcap index underperformed by a wide margin. Shares of Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd have been BSE Smallcap gainer. There has been an increase of 13 percent in this. EKI Energy Service and Shilpa Medicare have seen maximum buyers. EKI Energy Services has been successful in attracting investors. The stock has been continuously on the upper circuit. Adani stocks like Adani Wilmar, Adani Power and Adani Port have made minor gains. Today these penny stocks gained momentum and touched the upper circuit. Investors should keep an eye on these stocks in the coming days.
