The advance-decline ratio remained strongly in favor of the gainers on the BSE, with 2,180 scrips advancing and 1,314 scrips declining. Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd. share price, top smallcap gainer on BSE, registered a gain of over 13%. If we look at its volume, it has increased by more than 16 times. Shares of Gravita India Limited and Centum Electronics Limited were also heavily bought. InterGlobe Aviation Ltd was the top gainer in the BSE largecap pack, rallying over 4%.
At 11:55 am, the BSE Sensex fell 0.42% to 61,098. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.41% to the level of 18,073. On Sensex, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Asian Paints and ITC Ltd were the top gainers, while Axis Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Bajaj Finance were market drags.
