MumbaiDue to IT stocks, the American stock markets saw a boom yesterday. It can be called the effect of overnight strength on Wall Street that Indian stock markets also saw a rise in IT stocks today. Despite the rise in IT stocks, Indian benchmark indices showed a decline. The market witnessed a decline due to heavy losses in power, utilities and oil & gas sectors. The advance-decline ratio remained strongly in favor of the decline, with 1,274 scrips rising and 1,861 scrips declining on the BSE.

At 10:40 am, the BSE Sensex slipped 0.24% to 61,284. The Nifty 50 index also fell 0.32% to the level of 18,070. On Sensex, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies and Infosys were top gainers, while Titan, Asian Paints and Hindustan Unilever Ltd were top losers in the market.

Broader indices widely influenced the main indices. Shares of BSE’s top smallcap gainer AurionPro Solutions Ltd closed at 10% upper circuit and hit a 52-week high. Shares of Ugro Capital Ltd and Sharda Motor Industries Ltd were also heavily bought.

Here is the list of penny stocks stuck in upper circuit today. Keep an eye on these stocks for the coming session.
