The price of petrol and diesel is stable in the capital Delhi. Here petrol is being sold at Rs 96.72 and diesel at Rs 89.76 per liter since this morning. Whereas, in Kolkata petrol is available at Rs 106.03 and diesel at Rs 92.76 and in Chennai petrol is available at Rs 102.65 and diesel at Rs 94.25 per litre.
Oil became expensive in Maharashtra and cheap in Gujarat
Before June 2017, the price of oil was revised every 15 days. However, now the price is revised daily. Today, oil companies have increased the price of petrol by 79 paise and diesel by 48 paise in Maharashtra. After this, petrol is being sold at Rs 106.31 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.27 per liter in Mumbai. In Gujarat, petrol has become cheaper by 38 paise and diesel by 41 paise. Also, the prices of petrol and diesel have come down in Haryana. Apart from this, prices of petrol and diesel have also increased in Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. Today in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.57 per liter and diesel at Rs 89.76 per liter. In Noida, UP, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.92 and diesel at Rs 90.08 and in Ghaziabad, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.58 and diesel at Rs 89.75 per liter since this morning. However, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Here petrol is being sold at Rs 107.54 and diesel at Rs 94.32 per litre.
Crude oil futures prices fall due to weak spot demand
Crude oil prices fell 0.95 percent to Rs 6,394 per barrel in futures trade on Monday as traders cut their deals following weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the contract of crude oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 61 or 0.95 percent to Rs 6,394 per barrel. It was traded for 8.976 lots. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil fell by 0.47 percent to $ 76.81 per barrel, while the price of Brent crude was trading at $ 81.01 per barrel, showing a decline of 0.52 percent.
