New Delhi: PhonePe’s new Android-based Indus App Store has crossed one lakh downloads within three days of its launch.
Akash Dongre, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder, Indus Appstore, said, ‘Reaching over one lakh downloads in just three days confirms that the country is ready for an indigenous app store that prioritizes the needs of its diverse users. And fosters a vibrant developer community.’

App developers, tech enthusiasts and users have actively downloaded Indus Appstore. Initial feedback from users and developers has been overwhelmingly positive.

Indus Appstore was launched on February 21 by Ashwini Vaishnav, Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT.

PhonePe’s Indus Appstore is aiming to reach the install base of five lakh users as soon as possible, with hopes of crossing the 10 lakh mark soon after.
