New Delhi, 10 November (Hindustan Reporter). Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit San Francisco, America from 13 to 16 November to strengthen economic ties with America. During this, Goyal will participate in the ministerial meeting of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and negotiate agreements in areas like supply chain.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement issued on Friday that he will also interact with business people, leading academicians, US officials etc. to further strengthen economic and commercial relations between the two countries. According to the ministry, the Commerce Minister will participate in the third in-person IPEF Ministerial Meeting on November 13 and 14, which is likely to see significant developments on the progress of the talks.
According to the ministry, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting. The APEC meeting is scheduled for November 15 and 16. India has been invited as a guest country in this meeting. Apart from this, Piyush Goyal will also hold bilateral meetings with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, US Trade Representative Katherine Tai and ministers of other IPEF partner countries.
