E-KYC is necessary to avail the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana. The central government wants to ensure that the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana reach the right beneficiary. This is the first condition of the government that the money should reach the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of the farmers without the involvement of any middleman. Therefore e-KYC has been considered necessary.

Ways to get e-KYC done

If you have not got e-KYC done yet, then get it done immediately. It should not happen that the Central Government sends money and it does not reach your account. These are the three ways to get eKYC done…

• OTP based e-KYC which can be done through PM-Kisan portal and mobile app.

• Biometric based e-KYC service is available at Common Service Center (CSC) and State Service Center (SSK).

• Face authentication-based e-KYC which you will get on PM Kisan mobile app.

If you remember, before the arrival of the interim budget, there were reports in the media that the Modi government at the Center can increase the amount given under PM Kisan Yojana to Rs 12,000. However, no announcement was made on this in the budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, due to which the farmers were disappointed. After this, while answering the question on increasing the amount of PM Kisan Yojana, Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda said that no such proposal is under consideration.

• Click on beneficiary status. Click on “Beneficiary Status” or its use option.

• Now you fill the information. Like Aadhar card number, mobile number or bank account details.

• Fill the captcha.

• Click on the search button. Click on the “Search” or “Get Data” button.

• The status of your request will now appear on the screen. If your application has been canceled, it will be mentioned there and the reason for cancellation will also be mentioned.
