OMG 2 was also involved in some controversies due to which the film remained in the news. After postponing the trailer release as a mark of respect to late Nitin Desai following his shocking demise, the makers have released the trailer of OMG 2. This was one of the most awaited trailers of the list of upcoming new movies. People are liking Akshay’s look from the film. If we look at the comment box of the trailer, people have liked it a lot.

The trailer of OMG 2 begins with Lord Shiva asking Nandi to send his messenger to help one of his devotees. We then see a judge reading out the names of the complainant and the defendant, Kranti Sharma Mudgal (played by Pankaj Tripathi). Then the story comes back to her son whose video gets leaked on the internet due to which he is expelled from the school. The boy is treated cruelly and even his father scolds him for his behaviour. But due to a tragic incident, Kranti Sharma Mudgal filed a case against the school. He seeks strength from Mahadev to fight the case and then Akshay Kumar enters. The trailer of OMG 2 has some comedy elements as well and has some emotional scenes as well. Yami Gautam plays a lawyer who is seen fighting the case of the school.

Why OMG 2 became the talk of the town?

The Akshay Kumar starrer was facing certification issues. The makers were earlier planning to release it with a U/A rating but the CBFC board said that the film would have to be cut. This would have meant that the core essence of the film would have been lost. Hence, he opted for an ‘A’ i.e. Adults Only rating. This is Akshay Kumar’s second film to get an A rating.

And along with this, the makers have also been asked by the Central Board of Film Certification to modify certain things in the film. From removing a condom advertisement poster to removing a nudity scene written on a bottle of rat poison. The makers have also been asked to modify the description of the unnatural sex figurines. There is also a dialogue of alcohol as an offering to God, which the board has asked to modify. And as per reports, the makers have accepted the request for modifications.

In the latest development, after Akshay Kumar in OMG 2, no actor will reportedly be allowed to play God onscreen. It is being told that a new directive has been issued by the CFBC in which filmmakers will have to follow the guidelines which states that they cannot show humans as gods. OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam is slated to release on August 11.
