PPF Interest Rate: PPF scheme has been made by the Central Government keeping in mind the employed people also. Its objective is to benefit people and encourage them to save.
Apart from giving income tax exemption on investment in PPF, interest is also given on the deposited amount by the Central Government. Recently, the government has also reviewed the interest rate on deposits in PPF. In this, the government has not made any change in the interest rates.
This means that those investing in PPF will be given 7.1 percent interest on the amount deposited in the quarter of October-December 2023.
According to the guidelines of the Central Government, PPF is a savings scheme whose maturity time has been fixed at 15 years. However, there is a limit on investment in this. Any investor can invest only Rs 1.5 lakh in a year.
Any person can start investing in PPF with Rs 500 per month. In this, the account holder can also get a loan against the deposited amount. However, this loan can be given to the account holder only after three years of opening the account.
