New Delhi: To reduce the pressure of vehicles inside Delhi and adjoining Noida, preparations are on to connect the Yamuna Expressway with the Eastern Peripheral. NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport have also written a letter to the UP government to connect the two expressways. The Delhi Mumbai Expressway has been opened for traffic. Preparations are also underway to connect Eastern Peripheral and Yamuna Expressway. With the joining of these two highways, the pressure of vehicles inside Delhi and adjacent Noida will be reduced, as well as people will be able to get full benefit of Delhi Mumbai Expressway. NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport have written a letter to the Uttar Pradesh government that there is a need to construct a loop soon to connect the two expressways to decongest vehicular traffic inside Delhi and adjoining Noida.
Let us tell you that an interchange is to be built in the limits of Greater Noida to connect both the expressways. In this regard, talks are also going on for a long time between the UP government, Yamuna Development Authority and NHAI. Now the ministry wants the work on this project to be done fast. Due to non-construction of the interchange, vehicles going to Punjab-Haryana pass through Noida and Delhi or catch the Eastern Peripheral Expressway from Dadri Fatehpur Rampur Interchange. Due to this, the vehicles have to take 20 kilometers more detour in Noida itself and it also takes more time. In this way, vehicles consume more fuel and time, apart from this, the pressure of vehicles on the roads of Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi is also high.
