Mumbai: The market is showing an edge on the first day of the trading week amid strong global cues. During this, Nifty opened with 50 gains. Nifty 50 has opened at a level of Rs 16,984.3 today i.e. on Monday. It had closed at a level of Rs 16,945.05 on the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday. Major Wall Street indices traded higher on Friday. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.31% on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.41% and the S&P 500 gained 0.56%. Even their respective futures were trading in the green. Asian market indices were witnessing a mixed performance with only Japan’s Nikkei 225 index and Australia’s S&P ASX 200 index trading lower.
At 9:40 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,013.35, up 68.3 points or 0.4%. On the other hand, the broad market indices underperformed the frontline indices. The Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index and the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index fell 0.12% and 0.71%, respectively. Given below is the list of stocks which are witnessing price volume breakout today.
