Mumbai: The stock market is seeing a boom today. Nifty 50 opened with gains amid strong global cues. The Nifty 50 opened at a level of 17,177.45 as against its previous close of 17,107.5 on Wednesday. This is the result of strong global signals. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 1.58%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average 0.98% and the S&P 500 jumped 1.3% in overnight trading. Tracking overnight Wall Street action, Asian market indices were trading higher on Wednesday with Japan’s Nikkei 225 index and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index trading higher.

At 10:25 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at 17,142.3, up 34.8 points or 0.2%. The broad market indices have outperformed the frontline indices.
