Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday called upon the industrialists to become partners in the socio-economic growth of the state. He said this at the launch of the two-day Progressive Punjab Investors Summit here. Addressing the industry leaders in the inaugural session, Mann said that Punjab is the most favorable destination for investment across the country and the government would leave no stone unturned to facilitate investors.
According to an official statement, he hoped for strong cooperation between the state government and industrialists to make Punjab a major industrial hub of the country. The state government will soon do away with the requirement of Type of Land Use (CLU) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the convenience of investors. Meanwhile, Medanta Group Chairman Naresh Trehan said that Punjab is a developing economy and the state has a lot of potential.
He said that he was looking for opportunities to invest in the health sector of the state with the active support of the state government. Nisaba Godrej, Executive Chairman, Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti Group also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
