Railway Board DA Hike: Indian Railway Board has given a big Diwali gift to its employees on Dussehra. The board has increased the dearness allowance of employees from 42 percent to 46 percent. Along with increased dearness allowance, employees will get arrears of dearness allowance from July 2023.

More than 11 lakh employees are going to benefit from this decision of the Railway Board. Giving this information, on Monday the Board has written a letter to the General Managers and Chief Administrative Officers of All India Railways and Production Units. The increased dearness allowance before Diwali has been welcomed by the employees and the railway union.

Last week, bonus for railway employees was also announced by the Central Government. Railways had announced approval to give productivity based bonus equal to 78 days’ salary to all non-gazetted employees.

The benefit of Railway Bonus will be availed by all 11,07,346 non-gazetted employees of various departments and ministries of Railways including Railway Track Maintainer, Loco Pilot, Guard, Station Master, Supervisor, Technician, Helper, Pointsman. For this, approval of Rs 15 thousand crore has been given.
