The water level of Yamuna in Delhi has also crossed the danger mark. In view of the increased water level of the river, the Railways has stopped the rail traffic from the old Yamuna bridge. Railways issued a press release on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 and informed about it and said that from 6 am, the movement of trains through this route has been temporarily banned.
Giving information, Chief PRO of Railways Deepak Kumar said that the rail traffic on Delhi’s old Yamuna bridge has been temporarily stopped from 06 am. Northern Railway has taken this decision in view of the increased water level of Yamuna due to rain. Although the Railways has said that no train has been canceled due to this, rather the route has been diverted. Railways has diverted the route of 14 trains. Due to the closure of the iron bridge near Old Delhi in Delhi, 14 trains going to Delhi Junction via Shahdara will go via Anand Vihar and New Delhi.
