When Prashant Verma had revealed that he was auditioning a big star for Hanuman’s sequel, Jai Hanuman, rumors were rife that he was talking about Ranveer Singh. However, as per the latest reports, while Ranveer will not be leading Jai Hanuman, he will be collaborating with Prashanth for a big budget entertainer.
Ranveer liked the story and concept
“Ranveer Singh is a big fan of Prashant Verma’s work and met him right after the release of Hanuman. When he saw Hanuman he became fascinated by him. The director has been in talks with the actor for the last 3 months for a big budget film. They have met several times and remain in discussion. Ranveer is satisfied with the idea and accepts the fact that it is a very ambitious project. There is an in-principle yes from Ranveer to the film and the team is now looking at other modalities to start work,” reveals a source close to the film.
The source added, “Ranveer knows that such projects are challenging, and they need the support of strong producers and studios. While he is impressed with the concept, script pre-visualization and vision, he wants to announce the film after covering all the factors. He is well aware of how much budget the film requires and hence he is working with Prashanth to close all the deals,” he said.
Ranveer’s upcoming films
Ranveer and Prashant Verma are together talking to many big studios. If things work out and everything goes as per planning, the film will be announced soon. Apart from this film, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Singham Again and Don 3.
Ranveer Singh is going to become a father in September
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is soon going to welcome his first child with Deepika Padukone. The duo had announced their pregnancy in February this year when Deepika shared an adorable poster which read “September 2024”. The poster also had children’s clothes, toys and balloons as borders. Deepika and Ranveer have been married for more than five years now.
